Am feeling really strongly the power, the life, the hope —the aroma of the Spirit of God—that embraces hearts when encouragement floods a space.
I have had tears this morning as I have been remembering how much my Heavenly Papa has personally encouraged me over the years. Walking with Him has been beyond. And the friends He has positioned around me? They are amazing emissaries of Him and His heart.
The role of accuser of the brethren (believers) is already taken. He fulfils that role 24/7, accusing believers of everything he knows to accuse them of, after all, He knows the law inside out. The legal system is his playground. Judgment is his forte.
I know at times that I have taken up the role of accuser and it has eaten away at my heart and mind. I have pointed the finger at others through sarcasm, straight-up dark decrees, and dark-veiled joking. No! I don’t want to access that stuff anymore and I don’t wish to be the accuser’s emissary or missionary here on earth.
This morning the tears continued as Papa showed me that my life is to be a reflection of Him. He doesn’t tear down; He builds up.
Jesus already took our judgment upon Himself, so I guess the question is why do we seek to pick that judgment up on behalf of others?
The truth says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are His child and before you were even formed in your mother’s womb, He loved you. Before the foundations of the earth were even laid, Jesus was there, taking judgment upon Himself on the cross. You are of royal lineage because you are a co-heir with Jesus. You are your Father’s child. You already reflect Him because you were made in His image. You are the light of the world just as He is (Matt 5:14-16). You don’t have to MAKE yourself be loving, hopeful, and encouraging; you already are these things because He ☝️ indwells you.
He laid His life down for you and then raised you up from the grave alongside of Him. The fullness of the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is already in you. He has given you the keys to the Kingom: DO. NOT. BE. AFRAID. You have been made complete in Him. You are a city on a hill that cannot be hidden and in the full authority and power of His name, you walk.
Encouragement through truth is like a frequency that draws us all upwards and spurs each of us onwards. It dreams dreams, inspires ‘the more’, and destines our eyes to fall on the One who made it all possible.
