Gossip. It’s sparked into flame by someone who knows a partial truth about a person or situation, by intrigue or offence, or by divisive intent; then it’s fuelled into fire by others who want to know about it but who have no business knowing it in the first place…
Ghosts and shadows plague tormented minds: Haunted phrases run on loop until insanity nears; They trickle from ceilings, crawl through windows and slink through open doors. Mental assaults from yesterday unravel and dismember peace: “You will never find love because you will never be worthy of it.” “You have no ability—you lack everything required to function.” “Nothing is all you are, and nothing is all you will have….”
I have chewed over this dream for some time now. My closest friends know about it (or parts of it) but I now feel to write it down and make it plain so that they who read it may run with it (if they wish).
Am feeling really strongly the power, the life, the hope —the aroma of the Spirit of God—that embraces hearts when encouragement floods a space…
It’s kinda a fun study to take a few minutes to watch a non-believing church service. (For example, an atheistic church service: They can be found on YouTube.) It’s interesting to watch it with eyes wide open to what looks like ‘rightness’ and same-same patterns of church, yet it is (simultaneously) sad that the absence of the person of Yeshua can be felt…
The sound of gongs fills the space. Empty clanging, metallic noise. It is the sound of head-dwelling and heart avoidance; a mechanical absence of love…
The interactions were shallow. Information-based. Void of heart. Third or fourth-hand experiences but never inspired from within…
Opinions are not the same as truth. Opinions are fluid personal judgments which follow or rebel against the shifting sands of public discourse, belief or culture. They are ‘here’ one minute and over ‘there’ the next. They are always changing, never dependable, and can tend to be feelings-based. Andrew Wommack says, “opinions are like noses: everyone has them, but there’s usually a couple of holes in them…”
Jesus has ‘translated’ us from the tyranny and oppression of the kingdom of darkness into His Kingdom of light, where we walk in the completeness of His Name, the fullness of what He did, and within the power of His authority (Colossians 1:12-17). We are not of this world; we have been born again from above…
Off in the distance, smoke rises. As bombs are dropped, distant voices rise above the roar of rubble and death. Some voices plead for attention, for drama, for fear and for failure….
