Neely.

Neely rolled to her other side, still curled in a ball. Hugging her pillow and semi-unconscious, some part of her mind became aware of other people in the room. But how could there be? It was the middle of the night. Maybe she was just imagining it. And yet, there was light pressing through her eyelids. How was that possible?

No More Ghosts And Shadows

Ghosts and shadows plague tormented minds:
Haunted phrases run on loop until insanity nears;
They trickle from ceilings, crawl through windows and slink through open doors.
Mental assaults from yesterday unravel and dismember peace:
“You will never find love because you will never be worthy of it.”
“You have no ability—you lack everything required to function.”
“Nothing is all you are, and nothing is all you will have….”

Love Will Cover

This is a true story. Last night someone phoned and asked me to write and share this story, so that she could add to the growing awareness of these issues. I have changed the names and locations in order to protect everyone involved…

What Is Prayer?

We are IN Him and He is IN us. He is closer to us than our next breath. He is our dwelling place. Our hiding place. Psalm 90:1 says, “Lord, YOU HAVE BEEN OUR DWELLING PLACE — throughout all generations.”

My ‘Now’

We often live life from the perspectives of past or future, but how often do we stop to enjoy the moment we are actually in? How often do we stop to enjoy and be thankful for our ‘now’?

Religion Or Jesus?

Religion says, “do.” Jesus says, “abide.” Religion says, “know about.” Jesus says, “know Me.” Religion says, “perform!” Jesus says, “follow Me.” The two couldn’t be more different.

Still, Small Voice

…most wars are incensed and driven by propaganda through news media sources, entertainment, and (now) social media algorithms… but do we need to oblige propaganda in this way?

New Landscapes

How do we see the new spiritual landscape we already intuit by the Spirit of God? Where is it? And how do we get there?

Into the Garden

I reflect on all of the activity taking place in my garden: "The leaves really do move as though they are clapping their hands. The She Oak sings and sways in response to gentle breezes. There is movement in the pond where the fish zip back and forth, and somewhere off in the distance a kookaburra laughs about the rain that is coming from a distant place."
