A Seed and the Unseen

Faith bound by the limitations of intellect is not faith; it is assessment and conjecture based on the evidence of things that are ‘seen’ and the flesh of circumstances.

Faith is a substance—it is hope in motion (Hebrews 11-1). Combined with the seed of a Word (or ‘evidence’ of things ‘not’ yet seen), that seed can fall into receptive soil… the good soil of the heart.

The full DNA of a plant resides inside its seed. Just because we cannot see the DNA inside, it does not mean it isnt there. And nor do we need to understand the DNA in order for it to produce the tree that it will produce. It simply needs ‘kind’ conditions. Receptive moments. The agreement of ‘yes’ instead of ‘but what if…?’

Once we allow the thing not yet seen into the soil of our hearts, the working of the ‘evidence of things not yet seen’ will break open and release a tree within us.

Intellect tries to find an answer. It tries to understand the workings of everything. And there’s nothing wrong with this, except it depends on the ‘seen’. And it depends on the ability of your own assessment to be perfect, which no one’s is.

Sometimes we can’t have all the answers we want before we come into agreement with the unseen DNA inside a seed.

We can never see the entire way forward, but we can lean into Him and allow the seed of His word to fall into healthy heart soil and watch the seed break open to reveal what we previously could not see.

There are people walking around right now with seeds in front of their eyes and they want to know what kind of tree it will be. How it all works. They want to assess the DNA.

But Dear One, can I encourage you? If you know that Papa has given you this seed and if He is asking for your agreement with what He has spoken, will you allow the seed to fall into the ready soil of your heart and choose to trust?

Trying to work everything out is draining. Trusting that He has the DNA right there and that the unseen DNA will eventually become seen (as evidenced by a fruit tree) is more than enough.

When you are ready, taking a deep breath and saying the same words Mary did—“Be it unto me according to your word” can begin this supernatural process.

Sending you love
